Adventurers
For First-Time Campers 7 and 8 Years Old
Adventurers Program Philosophy
Adventurers is a two-night introduction to the traditional camp experience. With high counselor-to-camper ratios, Adventurers are supported as they try new adventures and sample a variety of camp activities such as crafts, pony rides, games, and swimming. An amazing three days packed full of exploration and fun, Adventurers provides campers with a safe environment in which to discover and grow!
Cabin Arrangements
Adventurer campers live in air conditioned lodges during their stay at camp. There is room for 12 campers and 2 counselors in each lodge unit. The lodges have indoor restroom and shower facilities. There is also a great room in each lodge that is large enough to gather around the fireplace and enjoy indoor activities when there is inclement weather. The Adventurer lodge is near the Health Center where medications are distributed.
Meals and Nutrition
The Adventurer campers eat their meals in Malachi Dining Hall - a short walk from their lodge. Meals are served family style with a salad bar available at lunch and dinner. Special arrangements for children with special diets or allergies are accommodated. The Adventurers are encouraged to drink water throughout the day and at each meal. They also enjoy a snack together at the end of their evening activities.
